Anna Mercury's cover (Making Off)

Probably this it's one of my favorite covers of those that I have drawn for Anna Mercury. Looking of an old notebook of sketches found this pose and the simplicity of the composition was imposed to the aberrant detail of other illustrations.
Well, it was this way like I made the pencil. In some days the inks and the color, Ok?

Katheryn Artemis

In the revision that I am making of the main characters of Black Summer today it is the shift of Ms. Katheryn Artemis: the hardest, hardened and maybe unfriendly of the women of the team Seven Guns.
I remember that the design of Kath was the most difficult. Not for the character in herself, she should dress as a moto GP pilot, but for the gadgets. I had to design carefully their Colt of two canyons and two barrels that Mr. Ellis calls " Kaos " and her motorcycle that I baptized as " Kandela ", in honor to the daughter of a dear friends that was born for those days. Surprisingly the bike only appeared in the second issue…
The color by Marck Sweeney. In my opinion, the colorist that better worked with my drawings in Avatar Press.

Feria Real Algeciras 2009

I suppose that what I show you today will be difficult to understand for people of outside of Andalusia, and almost impossible for the non Spaniards. Maybe something so far from my habitual work, the comic, the illustration, maybe is not too interesting for you, but I can make sure that this responsibility and its realization has been for me a very touching and unforgettable experience of my professional life.
You will see, this year 2009 this small draftsman has been the one in charge of creating the image of the Real Fair of Algeciras.
For almost one decade this great responsibility and honour is requested to big artists that are linked my earth, for that reason they have preceded me noted signatures in the world of ART (with uppercase) as Pérez Villalta, Vázquez de Sola, José Barroso, Pérez de Vargas, Chema Cobo, Antonio Rojas, Juan Gómez Macías or you don't know him, Carlos Pacheco.
For the color I have had the invaluable collaboration of the master of the masters Maz! that has made a work, at least from my opinion, amazing.
Good it is this, I wait that you like it, and I take advantage to invite you to everybody to the party of my earth, where Hercules' columns are whipped by the wind os the East, announcing the Non Plus Ultra, Ole!
By the way, if you want one of these posters, you can request them gratuitously to the City Council of Algeciras in this address of here.

Thank you very much!.

¡Enhorabuena!

Of the best thing that I have read lately and recommendation for the next Saló of the Cómic of Barcelona: El Viaje de Darwin (The Darwin's Trip), of José Fonollosa, published by Planeta DeAgostini.
This book with esthetic very, very taken care, where the author of Sebastián Lafou or Billy Bob gives us its special and very documented vision of the illustrious character's adventures. It is the first issue of a trilogy that is called to become a classic of the modern Spanish comic.
It always amazed me vigorous and audacious drawing of Fonollosa, that marries in this album with a narration alive and interesting, difficult task and more when we meet with a historical comic book, here José get it, ten on ten.

Congratulation!

No Hero #2 (pages 8 and 9)

The curious of this double splash is the color change in the uniforms of the Front Line team, white in the original design and, I don't know the reason, gray dark here.

Queen of the Black Coast

And speaking about girls, I cannot forget to recommend to you the work of one of the best Spanish artistof women, the work is PARECE MUY SIMPÁTICA (SEEMS TO BE VERY NICE) and the author Jordi Bayarri.

This one is the second episode of a collection of scketch-books, small of format but giants contained, here Bayarri shows us dozens of sketches, pin-ups and different designs with the look put in the woman, in the women, in the girls, in his girls

If since like me you are one of the fan of this artist, if already flipas with ENTRE TINIEBLAS (Beteween the Glooms), if you cannot stop thinking about Ashla and Ihana, and especially, if ever you could not have separated your eyes of the anatomy of some young girl, thinking: Seems to be very nice …Friend, I do'nt know why you do not go for the book!

Congratulation Jordi, a lot of luck ;)

No Hero, Mandy's cover

Color: Digikore Studios

Yes, I also miss more feminine presence in No Hero, but well, here I leave you the cover of the NH#2 Operator NYCC, whose main character is Operator (Mandy for friends). I hope you like.
What a pity to kill her so soon...

Puck El Gnomo (Puck The Gnome)

I found it a couple of weeks ago, looking for among my old cd, material to put on the blog, and while I looked at it I thought: Why don't you color it?. I began and to mouse blows this came out (2).
You are not too cruel, it is my first contact with the informatic color ;)

Mail

Hey friends! Today there are not drawings neither news, today I want to speak to you. In the first time, I want to tell you that I am surprised and flattered by your kind mail, I am very happy receiving this and I will try to reply you to all, but have patience, I am very busy and my English is too bad. But thank you very much to write me!. Nevertheless, there are several questions that you ask repeatedly, I will try to answer them here. Right?.

USA Conventions: Right now I don't have conventions confirmed in US. This doesn't depend me, I would be happy traveling to United States for some convention and meeting with you, but right now I didn't receive some invitation. If there was some news about this, I will say it here, in my blog. Ok?.

NO HERO and Mr. ELLIS.: All your doubts and suggestions about NO HERO or any series that I made with Mr. Ellis, you can speak with him in WhiteChapel.
No, Mr. Ellis and me aren't friends, neither enemies of course, but we have never spoken and I think that we will never speak, then I don't know the plans of him for the series and I cannot suggest or to change things. Do you understand?

Next Series: Yes, after NO HERO will be another new series for AVATAR PRESS, but I cannot tell you something about this. When AVATAR PRESS announces this we will be able to talk… now it's a secret ;)

Future / Other editorials: Right now I am working for AVATAR Press, I don't know the plans for me the next year, but I will inform you if there are news. Ok?.

Thank you, friends.
