Thoughts and Recollections II (RAZOR)

   No sé si recordareis que hace algo más de un mes inauguraba esta sección, por llamarlo de alguna forma, donde estoy dando un repaso los personajes y series en los que trabajé para Avatar Press.


   Algunos, la mayoría sólo los he “tocado” levemente, apenas un par o dos de portadas, pero creo que todos merecen su huequito aquí, y de paso os los presento a los personajes si no los conocéis.
   Quizás sea el caso de Razor: Una morena con hipertrofia mamaria, que en la vida real responde al nombre de Nicole Symone Mitchell, y que armada con sus afiladísimas navajas imparte justicia (y otras cosas) por las calles de cualquier urbe norteamericana.
  Razor es una creación del artista y escritor Everette Hartsoe, y cómo personaje ha pasado por diversas editoriales e infinidad de dibujantes y guionistas, siendo su más recordada saga cuando formó pareja con el mítico The Crow.
Si mal no tengo entendido, la última vez que Razor hizo una “aparición pública” fue allá por el 2004, con este RAZOR –Requiem-, para el cual tuve el honor de ilustrar esta portada.

    I do not know if you remember that one month ago approximately, I was inaugurating this section, for calling it of any way. Here I am giving a revision the characters and series that I was worked for Avatar Press.

    Some, only I have "touched" them slightly, scarcely a couple or two of covers, but I think that they all deserve his space here, and I am useful to appear to the characters if you don’t know them.
    Maybe be the way of Razor: A black air girl with mammary hypertrophy that in the real life responds to the name of Symone Nicole Mitchell, and that armed with its sharp knives it imparts justice (and other things) for the streets of any North American city.

     Razor is a creation of the artist and writer Everette Hartsoe, and the character it has gone by diverse editorials and infinity draftsmen and scripters, being her more remembered saga when couple formed with the mythical The Crow.

If wrong doesn't have understood, the last time that Razor made a public appearance was in 2004, with this RAZOR -Requiem -, for which I had the honor of illustrating this cover.

Thoughts and Recollections I (Jungle Fantasy / Fauna)

A primeros de septiembre hará ocho años que estampé por primera vez mi firma en un contrato de Avatar Press.
Mi hijo comenzaba preescolar de cinco años y yo cambiaba el andamio, los ladrillos y el cemento por la mesa de dibujo y los lápices, una apuesta arriesgada, sin duda, pero aquí seguimos aún.
Ahora que tengo miles de páginas editadas en USA, casi 900 items en la web de la editorial, mi hijo comenzará primero de ESO (Escuela Secundaria) y parece que los vientos no me son propicios en Avatar, ahora de me da la vena nostálgica y pienso en la ingente cantidad de personajes y series con los que de una u otra manera he trabajado para la editora de Illinois.
Y pensando, pensando, he pensado en las decenas obras que pasaron sin pena ni gloria, y ahora, haciendo algo parecido a un inventario, me apetece recordarlos, si ustedes no lo tienen a mal ; Vamos con el primero…

Si mal no recuerdo FAUNA fue el segundo o crecer personaje que tuve ocasión de dibujar para Avatar Press. FAUNA es un personaje “de la casa”, creado y recreado por William Christensen y Mark Seifert, dentro del especial universo fantástico-selvático-erótico de JUNGLE FANTASY.

Lo que os muestro a continuación es una ilustración que hice allá por octubre de 2002 y sirvió de portada para el JUNGLE FANTASY #4 (Funa Nude Edition) a mediados del año siguiente.
Perdonad la censura, pero me consta que este blog lo siguen menores y me gustaría que siguiese siendo así, no quisiera meter la pata más de lo que ya hago, que o es poco.

At the beginning of September it will do eight years that I stamped for the first time my signature on an contract of AVATAR PRESS .
My son began pre-school of five years and I was changing the scaffolding, the bricks and the cement into the drawing board and the pencils, a risky bet, undoubtedly, but here we continue yet.

Now that I have thousands of pages edited in USA, almost 900 articles in the web of the publishing house, my son will begin first of the secondary school and it seems that the winds me are not propitious in Avatar. Now I have nostalgic reporks and think about the enormous quantity of prominent figures and series with that of one or another way I have worked for the publisher of the Illinois State.

And thinking, thinking, I have thought about the dozens works that they happened almost unnoticed, and now, making something similar to an inventory, I like to remind them, if you want, offcourse ;). We go with the first one …

If my memory does not fail, FAUNA was the second or third personage that I drew in Avatar Press. FAUNA is a character " of the house ", created and recreated by William Christensen and Mark Seifert, inside the special universe fantastic, wild and erotic of JUNGLE FANTASY. What I show you later is an illustration that I did in October, 2002 and it used as coverfor in JUNGLE FANTASY #4 (Funa Nude Edition) in the middle of the following year.
Excuse the censorship, but I know that this blog minors see it and I would like that it continued being like that.
