NO HERO, Dual Signed Hard Cover

  Ya está anunciada para el próximo 10 de enero la aparición del tomo integral y recopilatorio de NO HERO, hasta el momento mi última novela gráfica para Avatar Press, con guiones de Warren Ellis.
  Cómo sin duda sabréis algunos, en la editorial acostumbran a imprimir el mismo libro con varias portadas, la que hoy os muestro ilustrará la “Dual Signed Hard Cover”, una edición limitada firmada por Warren y por un servidor de ustedes.

  Ya me contáis que os parece.

  It's announced for the next January 10 the appearance in bookstores of the compilation volume of NO HERO, until the moment my last graphic novel  for Avatar Press, written by Warren Ellis.
  How undoubtedly you know, on the publishing house they are accustomed to print the same book with several covers, which today I show you will illustrate the 'Dual Signed Hard Cover ', a limited edition signed by Warren and me.

   Tenía la intención de hacer un dibujuelo ex profeso para felicitaros este día, pero cómo de tiempo ando un poco escaso, sirva entonces de Halloween-Card el lápiz del “MISCHIEF NIGHT, Special Gothic Lolita”, eso sí convenientemente customizado.

  Por cierto, lectura la de este tebeo muy acorde con la fecha ;).

  Lo dicho:

   I thought in doing a new drawing to congratulate you this day, but I am really bussy. So I will use the pencil of “MISCHIEF NIGHT, Special Gothic Lolita”, a bit customized for the occasion.

Certainly, to read this comic is is ideal for this day ;)

THE EMPTY INSIDE Pin-Up

  Acabo de regresar de IMAGINAMÁLAGA ’09 (V Salón Internacional del Cómic de Málaga), sólo he podido estar un día pero el buen rollo y la intensidad con que lo he vivido lo multiplican por mil. Una vez más (y van tres) gracias a la organización por contar conmigo y por el excelente trato recibido, a los viejos amigos reencontrados por seguir siendo así, y a los nuevos, pues lo mismo, ya sabéis donde me tenéis. :)


  En Imaginamálaga tuvo lugar la presentación de la novela gráfica THE EMPTY INSIDE, del que ya os he hablado (pinchando aquí lo veis), y para el cual he tenido el honor de colaborar en forma de un modesto pin-up que el autor y gran, gran, gran amigo MASSACRE me pidió.

 I have just returned from IMAGINAMÁLAGA ' 09 (V International Comic Convention of Malaga), only I could have been one day but the reigning sharm and the intensity with which I have lived through it , multiply it by thousand. Once again (and three go) thanks to the organization for relying on me and for the excellent received treatment, to the old friends met again for continuing being like that, and to the new ones, so the same thing, already you know where you have me.:)



In Imaginamálaga was the presentation of the graphical novel THE EMPTY INSIDE, about which already I have spoken to you (pick here you see it), and for which I have had the honor of collaborating in the way of a modest pin-up that the author and great, great, great friend MASSACRE asked me.

Thoughts and Recollections II (RAZOR)

   No sé si recordareis que hace algo más de un mes inauguraba esta sección, por llamarlo de alguna forma, donde estoy dando un repaso los personajes y series en los que trabajé para Avatar Press.


   Algunos, la mayoría sólo los he “tocado” levemente, apenas un par o dos de portadas, pero creo que todos merecen su huequito aquí, y de paso os los presento a los personajes si no los conocéis.
   Quizás sea el caso de Razor: Una morena con hipertrofia mamaria, que en la vida real responde al nombre de Nicole Symone Mitchell, y que armada con sus afiladísimas navajas imparte justicia (y otras cosas) por las calles de cualquier urbe norteamericana.
  Razor es una creación del artista y escritor Everette Hartsoe, y cómo personaje ha pasado por diversas editoriales e infinidad de dibujantes y guionistas, siendo su más recordada saga cuando formó pareja con el mítico The Crow.
Si mal no tengo entendido, la última vez que Razor hizo una “aparición pública” fue allá por el 2004, con este RAZOR –Requiem-, para el cual tuve el honor de ilustrar esta portada.

    I do not know if you remember that one month ago approximately, I was inaugurating this section, for calling it of any way. Here I am giving a revision the characters and series that I was worked for Avatar Press.

    Some, only I have "touched" them slightly, scarcely a couple or two of covers, but I think that they all deserve his space here, and I am useful to appear to the characters if you don’t know them.
    Maybe be the way of Razor: A black air girl with mammary hypertrophy that in the real life responds to the name of Symone Nicole Mitchell, and that armed with its sharp knives it imparts justice (and other things) for the streets of any North American city.

     Razor is a creation of the artist and writer Everette Hartsoe, and the character it has gone by diverse editorials and infinity draftsmen and scripters, being her more remembered saga when couple formed with the mythical The Crow.

If wrong doesn't have understood, the last time that Razor made a public appearance was in 2004, with this RAZOR -Requiem -, for which I had the honor of illustrating this cover.

LOS REYES ELFOS (The Elven Kings)

   Para la última entrega de LOS REYES ELFOS, la maravillosa serie de fantasía creada por el maestro Victor Santos y editada por Dolmen, me pidieron una colaboración. Imposible rehuir la invitación, además de la admiración que siento por la obra y por Víctor y la amistad que le profeso, en ese libro el encargado del arte es ni más ni menos que Vicente Cifuentes, a mi modesto entender de los mejores artistas gráficos con los que contamos en este país.

   Así que ya sabéis Los Reyes Elfos –Glireen-, editado por Dolmen Editorial en su colección Siurell, el 12 de Noviembre en librerías, para o perdérselo. Y esta es mi pequeña aportación.

   For the next book of  LOS REYES ELFOS (The Elven Kings), the wonderful series of fantasy created by the master Victor Santos and edited by Dolmen, they asked me for a collaboration. Impossible to avoid the invitation, besides the admiration I feel for the Victor’s work and the friendship that I practise, in this book the art is not more not less by Vicente Cifuentes, in my opinion one of the best graphical artists of Spain.

   So already you know The Elven Kings - Glireen-, edited by Dolmen Editorial in the Siurell collection, On November 12 in bookstores. And this one is my small contribution.

Tanto para el número final de Black Summer cómo para el de No Hero hemos hecho una portada “Zombie”, divertido el matar y pudrir a los súper-heroicos personajes de ambas sagas.

JEUX DE FILLES (Tabou Editions)

Hoy traigo una noticia que me hace mucha, mucha, muchísima ilusión que conozcáis; ya está en las librerías de Francia (y países francófonos) “Jeux de filles”.

Se trata de un libro lujosamente presentado, que recopila las primeras historietas de corte eróticas con las que comencé mi andadura profesional. Editado por TABOU EDITIONS, es el primero de los cuatro álbumes que recopilaran toda mi obra realizada dentro del siempre difícil género del erotismo.

Para mí un paso de gigante el poder tener en el exigente mercado europeo una obra que es íntegramente mía (sí, sí, también escribo) y un lujo hacerlo de la mano de Tabou Ed., una editorial que cuida hasta el más mínimo detalle la edición de sus libros.

Y antes de terminar dar las gracias a Xavier Duvet, grande entre los grandes de la historieta francesa, pero sobre todo un tipo con un corazón que no le cabe en el pecho, y a Thierry Plée, editor y sin embargo amigo, que ha querido apostar por el trabajo de este humilde servidor.

Today I bring a news that makes me much, much, a lot of illusion that you know; it is already in the bookstores of France "Jeux de Filles."

It's a luxuriously book that gathers the first erotic comics with those that I began my professional trajectory. Published by TABOU EDITIONS, it is the first book of four, in them all my work carried out in the erotic gender were gathered.


For me, giant's step to have in the demanding European scene a work that is entirely mine (yes, yes, I also write) and a luxury to make it of the hand of Tabou Ed., an editorial that takes care until the most minimum details the edition of its books.


I want to thank the for all this to Xavier Duvet, big among the bigs of the French comic, but mainly a guy with a great heart, and to Thierry Plée, publishing and however friend that has wanted to bet for the work of this humble draftsman.
